Dr. Andrew Payson:

Dr. Payson was raised in Framingham, MA.  He graduated with his DVM from Iowa State University in 1980.  After experiencing the bitter cold winters of MA and IA, he decided to relocate to Southeast Florida.  At the end of 1984, he opened Boca Grove Animal Hospital in Boca Raton, FL.  Shortly after, he opened a second practice, Boca North Animal Hospital.  Once Dr. Crance graduated, Dr. Payson hired him as an associate and they worked together until 1998.  At this time, Dr. Payson sold both practices in order to spend more time with his wife and two children.  In 2001, Dr. Payson and Dr. Crance became partners and opened Riverside Animal Hospital in Coral Springs, FL.

Dr. Payson's wife, Dana Joyce Payson is a professional artist in her own right, and exhibits her artwork throughout the animal hospital.  She also accepts commissions to draw or paint personalized portraits of your pets.   Their 2 children are now grown young adults.

After graduation, he worked with Dr. Payson in Boca Raton for 5 years. Following this he was a Medical Director for VCA for 5 years before opening Riverside Animal Hospital with Dr. Payson in June of 2001.

Dr. Crance lives with his lovely wife Gail (who is also our hospital manager) and their 2 sons, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. He is a member of the AVMA, FVMA, and AAHA. In his spare time he enjoys following his favorite Chicago sports teams and reading.
